Thanks to a blogger friend, Barbara, we had a place for a Chinese New Year gathering with a few other blogging mommies and their kiddos! It was a pot luck kind of thing so what else can I do but cupcakes? Heh!

Dad is 61

Dad’s birthday always falls within the Lunar New Year period so it is always a joyous occasion for our family. This year he celebrated his 61 st birthday.

We were fortunate to be there so I could bake him some cupcakes. As I was extremely busy with all the traveling and unpacking, I took the easy way out… I used strawberries! Don’t they look great and yummilicious too?

A blogger friend who is residing in the UK ordered these special Chinese New Year theme cupcakes for her family and friends living just a few blocks away from my place.

When he friend received these cupcakes she was quite amused (you can’t these anywhere!) and actually wanted to order some more but I have to turn her down as the delivery date is too soon.

Elmo for Mr. Suave

I was chatting over MSN with a blogger friend who’d just return from China. She was lamenting about her son’s coming birthday but has yet to get him a cake. No cake, no birthday! So the mommy decided to order some special cupcakes for her little darling son.

According to his mommy, Lucas aka Mr. Suave loves Elmo of Sesame Street. So, here are the Elmos for his 2nd birthday. He did get 2 more cakes after that! His mommy said he celebrated his 2nd birthday 3 times! Luck boy!

It’s the Rocket!

A blogger friend’s son celebrated his 2nd birthday at the last day of January. His mommy asked if I do whole cake… unfortunately I prefer to stick to my shop’s name and do only cupcakes. However, I decided to present the little boy some cupcakes with one of his favorite toy on top!

Pursuing a passion

Many people believed that artistic nature is inborn. All of us are artistic creatures but we perform in different ways which make each and everyone of us as unique as can be.

I’ve always admire beautiful things around me and these have somehow inspired me to follow my heart to pursue something I’d always loved. Not that I am artistic nor I am creative but creating from nothing to something admirable has always helps me to be a better person as perseverance is the road to success. Without dreams there is no success.

From a short adventure into cake decorating, a new desire emerged. Owning a bake shop has been my dream and I want to turn this dream into reality. Like many great bakers, I  want to create cakes with beautiful decorations too. And since I love small and pretty things and the mini version of a cake is no other than cupcake!

With that in mind, a labor of love is borne….
