Mini Garden Cupcakes

My hubby’s cousin celebrated her birthday two weeks ago. Coincidentally also received her SPM result that week and she got 10A! We thought that it must be a celebration for her when her mom invited us for the little party they organized for their youngest girl as she did not want to tell us what was the party for.

So, we guessed it was either for celebrating the excellent result or it was her daughter’s birthday since the elder girl is away in Brisbane that time.

I did not tell her that I would be bringing anything so it was a total surprise…

Michelle was very happy seeing these little cuppies as the other cake her mom ordered from a very famous bakery was empty with just a few letterings.

These cuppies are triple chocolate brownie which tasted pretty good butwith one little problem though… the white chocolate tends to explode and sort of dirty the cup.

Will perfect the recipe before I will offer it to all I lOve Cupcakes! customers.

This is another very unusual theme I did recently for a Christmas present. The sender wanted to surprise her friend ( I have smudged the name to protect the recipient) who loves gaming. The sender also requested to have a favorite character (a tortoise) which is a special item to them to be included on the cupcakes.

Frankly speaking, I am quite happy with the result of how the little gaming items turned out. Even the tortoise almost looked exactly like the photo provided. The sender was very happy with the cupcakes and we hope that the recipient is as happy as us to have received these cutie yummies!

Baby Shower Cupcakes

This is my second time doing baby theme cupcakes. And funnily, both occasion are for a baby girl. This time, I do not have the baby’s name yet but instead the mommy’s name as the cupcakes are meant for a baby shower event over at E&O… one of the top hotel in Penang.

A young mommy just discovered I Love Cupcakes site and decided to try some of our cupcakes before she orders for her son’s birthday the following week. Though my schedule was tight (supposed to leave for Singapore the day after) I fit her order in. She requested for a all sugar paste cuppies with floral designs…

Floral Birthday Cupcakes

A lovely lady who has wanted me to bake some cupcakes as birthday favor for her daughter’s birthday 2 months ago in KL was disappointed when she found out the cost of transportation is more expensive than the cupcakes! Luckily she managed to find another cupcake baker.

Then she read that I’ll be down in KL last month and decided to order some cupcakes again. Coincidentally, her SIL’s birthday happened to be on the week I was available.

Besides getting her dad Father’s Day cupcakes, this lovely lady also got her little nephew a dozen too. Knowing her nephew loves sea creatures, I came up with the Nemo theme for her. The little boy was ecstatic when he see these…

A cupcake surprise

This customer came all the way from Sungai Petani just so she can give her beloved mother-in-law a Mother’s Day surprise. I was told that Sungai Petani is about an hour drive from Penang.

She told me that her mother-in-law are into gardening and loves soft colors. Therefore, I came out with a mix of garden and floral themes for her.

When she reached home, she can’t wait to present these cupcakes to her mother-in-law (she came to pick the cupcakes up 2 days before Mother’s Day)  and she even called me up to tell me that they don’t feel like eating these cupcakes as they just want to admire them!

Little Floral Surprise Gift Box

I had some cupcakes orders to deliver so I made a few extras for a friend’s mom who brought back some baking stuff for me all the way from San Francisco as well as a friend who will be picking me up for an outing the next day.

As I’ve just started to do fondant roses so I tried to frost some as practice and was glad they all turned out well. Though I have some problems dealing with the new leaf tip which I’ve bought some time back but have never used it. They turned out quite well after a few rounds of practices.

The one in red cups are Banana Walnut with Banana Buttercream frosting while the one in white cups are Oreo Cookies with Peppermint Buttercream frosting.
