A Short Break from 1st to 9th February
First of all I would like to wish all customers and readers of I Love Cupcakes! A Happy & Prosperous Lunar Moo Year!
As most of us know, the year 2009 did not have a good start and we are seeing a lot of people on this little island are either asked to take long leave or some very unfortunate ones are left without a job.
Though some of us are spared in this moment of uncertainties, I would like to offer my prayers that the economy will bounce back as soon as possible.
As such we are taking this opportunity of the long leave to settle some personal matters which required us to take a trip down south. Therefore, I Love Cupcakes! will be closed from 1st February to 9th February 2009.
Slots for St. Valentine’s Day is still available for booking so do send in your requests soon!
A New Year Anniversary Cupcakes
This is an order I did on New Year Eve just before I rushed off to the party. This customer wanted to have some lovely cuppies as a 2nd anniversary present for her darling boyfriend who likes guitar similar to the one used by Synyster Gates from A7x. I have no idea who is that but it is definitely some rock/heavy metal idol.
I have not met up with this customer nor her boyfriend and I do not have any photos of them too to work up this piece where I have to mold two figurines representing them!

A Laker Christmas Eve Birthday Cupcakes
Sometimes life is such an interesting thing when you’re born on some auspicious day. I have this lovely customer from Butterworth was hoping that I could take her order as her boyfriend’s birthday falls on Christmas eve. Initially I have wanted to take some rest since it is the eve but she sounded really hopeful, I shall at least be kind so I took her order.
Her boyfriend loves the basketball team LA Lakers and coincidentally it was one of my favorite basketball team too (I don’t watch that often but I do sometimes when I’m at my parents’ place as my dad loves basketball).
Coincidentally Issac, the birthday boy likes the player Kobe Bryant who is wearing jersey 24, which happened to be the birth date. What an ideal combination right? 
My customer asked to have the jersey on the cupcake and I proposed some bear cheerleaders to make the theme looks fun…

Sweet & Creamy Birthday

I almost forgot to post this order as the photos were being downloaded in another PC. This customer ordered these cuppies for his girlfriend’s birthday. He did not mention what he really wanted so I came up with this really sweet theme of bear and ladybugs.

Sweet Cuppies for Mommy Dear

A very young lady wanted to have some sweet looking cupcakes of flowers and ribbons for her mommy on her birthday. She even sent me a photo of her dear mommy and asked me to to craft a figurine that symbolize her mom to be placed on the cuppies… I hope the figurine looks like her mom…

Another car, beer and balls birthday

This customer has initially wanted to order for her one year old son’s birthday who happened to share the same birthday as his daddy. Then the idea of a joint birthday cake & cupcakes but after a few rounds of discussions, we ended up with only the daddy ordering the cupcakes and the son will have a traditional cake from the bakery.

How time flies! We are already in 2009!
I Love Cupcakes has been in business for a great 10 months and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers whom has ordered from us. It was a real pleasure in coming up with all the great ideas and designs and we sincerely hope that those who has received cupcakes from I Love Cupcakes purchased by their family or friends are pleased with the unique custom designs we have came out with as well as the yummy cuppies to satisfy your sweet tooth.

It is a Casino X’mas Cupcakes!

This is another very unusual theme I did recently for a Christmas present. The sender wanted to surprise her friend ( I have smudged the name to protect the recipient) who loves gaming. The sender also requested to have a favorite character (a tortoise) which is a special item to them to be included on the cupcakes.
Frankly speaking, I am quite happy with the result of how the little gaming items turned out. Even the tortoise almost looked exactly like the photo provided. The sender was very happy with the cupcakes and we hope that the recipient is as happy as us to have received these cutie yummies!
